Provide First Aid Fee-For-Service

Our HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course combines flexible online learning with an immersive, hands-on practical workshop designed to build confidence and real-world emergency response skills. Using realistic scenarios tailored to participants' workplaces and industries, this nationally recognised course prepares individuals to respond quickly, calmly and effectively when it matters most.
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is a nationally recognised course that gives participants the skills, confidence and practical experience to step up and respond when it matters most. Whether it's a workplace incident, medical emergency or everyday accident, this course prepares individuals to take action and provide effective first aid until professional help arrives.
Delivered through a flexible blended learning model, participants complete the theory component online at their own pace before attending an interactive practical workshop. Depending on group size and individual requirements, the face-to-face component is typically delivered over a half-day to one-day session.
Forget sitting through hours of dry presentations. Our practical workshops are energetic, hands-on and highly engaging, placing participants in realistic scenarios that challenge them to think, communicate and respond just as they would in a real emergency. Through guided activities, team-based exercises and practical skill stations, participants build the confidence needed to act quickly and effectively when every second counts.
What makes our training different is our commitment to making it relevant. We tailor practical scenarios wherever possible to reflect the workplaces, risks and situations participants are most likely to encounter in their own industries. Whether you're working on a vessel, in construction, hospitality, education, transport, manufacturing or an office environment, the training is designed to mirror the real-world incidents, injuries and medical emergencies you may face on the job.
Participants will learn essential life-saving skills including CPR, the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), casualty assessment, emergency response procedures and the management of common medical emergencies such as choking, asthma, anaphylaxis, bleeding, burns, fractures and shock.
By the end of the course, participants won't just leave with a qualification, they'll leave with the confidence, capability and practical experience to make a real difference in an emergency situation.
This qualification is offered over a 3-month period through a blended delivery model of face-to-face and online training and assessment. The face-to-face component is delivered over a one-day workshop. Prior to commencement of the face-to-face component of the course, online pre-learning and formative assessment activities must be completed. You will have online support from trainers and assessors throughout the duration of the course.
Face-to-Face Workshop
The practical component of this course is delivered through a one-day face-to-face workshop. During the workshop, participants will engage in a range of practical learning activities, scenario-based exercises and assessment tasks designed to develop and demonstrate the skills required to provide an effective first aid response in a variety of emergency situations.
First Aid workshops are typically scheduled monthly. Please refer to our online training calendar for upcoming dates and contact us to secure your place.
For businesses and organisations wishing to train groups of employees, customised training sessions can be arranged for groups of five or more participants. Training can be conducted at one of our training facilities or delivered at your workplace, subject to suitability and training requirements.
To maximise the relevance and value of the training, organisations may request that practical scenarios and emergency response activities be tailored to reflect the specific hazards, incidents and medical emergencies commonly encountered within their industry or workplace environment.
