Upfront charging of the full Co-Contribution fee is not permitted.
-
At enrolment, no more than 30% of the total Co-Contribution fee is payable.
-
The remaining 70% must be paid once the theory component is completed and before students can book their practical workshop.
-
Co-Contribution fees may be paid by the student, their employer, or another approved third party.
Example deposits:
-
$1,440.00 course fee → $432.00 payable at enrolment (30%).
-
$820.00 course fee → $246.00 payable at enrolment (30%).
For students not eligible for government subsidies and enrolling under a full-fee arrangement:
-
A deposit of $1,500 is payable at the time of enrolment.
-
The remaining course balance must be paid in accordance with the student’s individual payment plan and must be settled before completion of training and assessment.
For maritime courses requiring an AMSA Mandated Practical Assessment (AMPA):
-
An additional $500.00 fee applies for students who wish to undertake the AMPA and obtain a low complexity Interim Certificate of Competency (ICoC).
-
This fee is payable in full at enrolment.
-
Payment of the AMPA fee is required to participate in the AMPA and to receive a certificate of competency from AMSA.
-
Full refund of Co-Contribution fees will be provided if training has not commenced at the time of enrolment cancellation.
-
Pro-rata refund will be considered if a student withdraws partway through a unit of competency.
-
Refunds do not apply to the AMPA/ICoC fee once an assessment booking has been confirmed.
-
Refunds are processed in line with the PTG Refund Policy and the 2025 Standards for RTOs.
-
Students are expected to complete theory and practical components within the designated course timeframe.
-
Where extensions are requested, PTG may apply administration or re-enrolment fees on a cost-recovery basis.
-
Payments can be made by EFT, credit card, or approved employer invoice.
-
Payment plans may be available on application.
-
Students (or employers, where applicable) must ensure fees are paid by the required deadlines.
-
PTG reserves the right to withhold access to workshops, results, and/or certification documentation until all outstanding fees are paid in full.
