Workshop safety:
Prior to attending this workshop, you will be required to complete and provide a copy of the PTG workshop safety agreement to your trainer and assessor. Please note, this may be emailed or presented at your workshop.

- Navigation kit ((Compass set, rolling or parallel rulers, protractor, calculator, 2B pencils, soft white eraser).

- Wear comfortable clothes for classroom activities

Day 1 - Saturday
Units - Introduction and elements of shipboard safety (MARF027, MARF028, MARF029, MARF030)
Day 2 - Sunday
Units - Vessel handling, introduction to collision regulations and navigation (MARK007, MARN008, MARI003 & MARH013)
Day 3 - Monday
Units - Collision regulations and environmental practices (MARI003 & MARJ006)
Day 4 - Tuesday
Units - Navigation (MARH013)
Day 5 - Wednesday
Units - Line handling, Seamanship Skills, vessel handling and operate inboard outboard engines (MARN002, MARK007 & MARC037)
Day 6 - Thursday
Units - Engine servicing, engine operation, operate inboard outboard engines and environmental practices (MARB027, MARC037, MARC038 & MARJ006)
Day 7 - Friday
Units - Vessel handling - final assessments and review
Please note, as the training and assessment takes place in different scenarios including fire fighting, water survival and vessel handling, session days, times and locations may change due to weather or other risk factors. If sessions are changed, you will be notified before or during the workshop.
